Keith Scott
Keith Scott has devoted most of his life-time to the study and
teaching of bonsai. A retired English teacher and adjunct professor
of English at Youngstown State University, Keith brings an extensive
treasure trove of bonsai knowledge and trivia with the skill of
an accomplished wordsmith. He has contributed numerous articles
published in International Bonsai Magazine and the Journal of
Bonsai Clubs International.
Keith is a past president and convention chairman of Bonsai Club
International, former bonsai curator for the Phipps Conservatory
and Botanical Garden, Pittsburg, Pa, lectured and has given bonsai
workshops throughout the United States. He has studied with many
bonsai masters in the US and Japan, including Yuji Yoshimura,
Frank Okamura, John Naka, Toshio Nakamura, Tom Yamamoto, and Toshio
Saburumaru.
His lectures and workshops are a must; but be prepared for a
non stop learning experience as they include information under
his workshop manual titled, "What the Books Didn't Tell Us".
Who knows, you could be part of Keith's work in progress, "Confessions
of an Itinerate Bonsai Man". Note taking is advised.
