- Spring 2008: Established organic community vegetable garden in Hampton Falls.
- April 2008: Field study for UNH horticulture class, "Specialized Pruning Techniques".
- Spring 2008: GHHF has contributed many mature ornamental trees and shrubs for the development of Sawyer Park in Kensington, NH.
- May 2007: Field trip for Playmates Learning Center
Kindergarten Class from Sandown, "Excellent Adventure to
GHHF".
- April 2007: Field study for John
Hart's UNH horticulture class, "Proper Pruning Techniques".
- November 2006: Field trip for the Tidewater School's fifth graders, "An Introduction to Botany".
- October 2006: Field study for John Hart's UNH horticulture class, "Garden Design and Tree and Shrub Identification".
- September 2006: Field trip for Plaistow's Boy Scout Troop, including transplanting techniques and a bonsai project.
- September 2006: Field study for John Hart's UNH horticulture class, hands on transplanting experience in our new conifer bed.
- April 2006: Arbor Day with Mrs. Deeley's class at Greenland Central School. Donated and planted a beautiful Cercidiphylum japonicum with the students
- September 2005: Supplied Japanese umbrella pine
cones to Karen Pihl of Las Positas College, Livermore, Ca, for a botany
class experiment involving cladistic analysis.
- June 2005: Donated a Magnolia stellata to the South
Hampton Barnard School and conducted a tree planting demonstration
with the students and faculty.
- June 2005: Donated a Cornus
kousa 'Satomi' to Newington Public School and conducted
a tree planting demonstration with the students and faculty.
- June 2005: Helped
plant a Stewartia koreana (Donated by GHHF Member Harry Bragg) and donated
and planted a Magnolia liliflora 'Anne' at the Kensington Elementary School.
- May 2005: Donated and planted a Betula
albo-sinensis to the Maude H. Trefethen School in New Castle, NH.
- May 2005: Donated and planted a Magnolia soulingiana
'Rustica Rubra' and a Cornus kousa 'Satomi' to the Exeter Cooperative Middle
School.
- May 2005: Great Hill donated a Musclewood (Carpinus
caroliniana), a Striped Maple (Acer pensylvanicum), a Kentucky Coffeetree
(Gymnocladus dioicus), a Sourwood (Oxydendrum arboreum), a Franklina
alatamaha, and a Yellowwood (Cladrastis kentukea) to the Rockingham
County Botanical Garden's Native Tree Arboretum.
- April 2005: Great
Hill hosted a field trip with students of the UNH Landscape Design course to help
foster their familiarity of various trees and shrubs that can be used in the landscape
setting.
- April 2005: Partipated in Greenland Central School's Earth
Day. Great Hill donated an Acer
palmatum 'Suminagashi' and helped
students plant it .
- April 2005: Celebrated Earth Day with Kensington Elementary
School by donating a Magnolia loebneri 'Leonard Messell'
and conducted a tree planting demonstration with the students
and faculty.
- April 2005: Donated a Magnolia 'Yellow Lantern' to
the Lamprey River Elementary School in Raymond, NH and conducted
a tree planting demonstration with the students and faculty.
- October 2004: Great Hill donated and planted a
weeping cherry
(Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula') and a kousa
dogwood (Cornus kousa 'Satomi') to the Hampton
Falls Free Library.
- August 2004: Donated a Magnolia
'Yellow Lantern', a Magnolia 'Elizabeth', and a Halesia monticola
to the
Rockingham County Botanical Garden.
- March 2004: Great Hill hosted a
field trip with students of the UNH Landscape Design course to help foster their
familiarity of various trees and shrubs that can be used in the landscape setting.
